    The PLX51-DLplus-232 Data Logger is ideal for remote sites with limited communications that need to log data. OEMs can log their machine’s data to identify operational problems or efficiency improvements and can view this data online as trends via an integrated webserver. The trend data can be exported as a CSV file. The module supports REST API to collect JSON encoded data from the module that can be sent to other systems.

    The PLX51-DLplus-232 can read and store data from EtherNet/IP™ PLCs, DF1 Serial PLCs and devices, or Modbus® PLCs and devices. The PLX51-DLplus-232 has the capacity to store over 16 million records in its solid-state non-volatile memory. Each stored record includes a Date Time stamp, Tag Name, Data Type, and Value.

    The A-DH485R/B DH485 Router provides intelligent data routing between EtherNet/IP™ and DH485, simplifying the migration from MicroLogix and SLC systems with DH485 communications to EtherNet/IP based ControlLogix or CompactLogix platforms.

    The module can be used for remote programming of a SLC5/03 controller via Ethernet.

    The DH485 Router’s AIC Mode provides direct conversion between RS485 and RS232, an ideal replacement for Rockwell’s 1761-NET-AIC module.Alternatively, the module makes use of the DH485 destination Node Address, (and Data File address in certain modes), to determine the target Logix controller. The mapping table, which can be configured in minutes, supports connections up to 8 Logix controllers.

    The PROFIBUS PA gateway allows the user to interface PROFIBUS PA DPV0/DPV1 to either EtherNet/IP™ or Modbus® devices.

    When configured as a Master, the PA Link can exchange up to 2 kilobytes of PROFIBUS PA device and status data.

    The PA Link has two Ethernet ports for a Linear or Ring (Device Level Ring – DLR) Ethernet topology. The Ethernet ports can also be configured for port mirroring, allowing for better fault analysis.

    The PA Link can synchronize to an NTP Server allowing for automatic time synchronization. It also supports an onboard non-volatile event log for improved fault finding. The PA Link has a built-in Power Conditioner which can supply up to 420 mA. The power conditioner is protected against a configurable overcurrent limit. The module also has a configurable built-in Fieldbus terminator.

    The XPosition module provides connectivity between high precision GPS and inertial navigation devices to Rockwell Automation’s Logix (ControlLogix® and CompactLogix™) family of controllers.

    The module operates in a Logix “owned” mode. With a Logix connection the input and output assemblies will provide additional diagnostics information which will be available in the Logix controller environment.

    The module uses an external GPS receiver to provide accurate position information. The external GPS or inertial navigation device provides various accuracy estimates allowing the user to make informed decisions for high precision position and velocity applications.

    The Time Sync module provides Precision Time Protocol (PTP – Grand Master) and NTP Time services. This enables precision time synchronization for Logix Controllers and HMI systems. It can also provide GPS position and velocity data. The module uses an on-board GPS receiver to provide accurate time and position information.

    Because the module is stand-alone and connects to various devices over an Ethernet network the module can be placed as close as possible to the antenna position removing the need for costly low-loss coaxial cables that was traditionally needed to connect the GPS antenna to the module. The on-board GPS receiver also provides velocity and odometer reading allowing the user to implement the module in various vehicle and tracking applications. The GPS accuracy information provided allows the user/controller to make calculated decision when looking at the position, velocity, or odometer information.

    The J1939 Router enables data exchange between SAE J1939 devices and a Logix controller via EtherNet/IP™.

    The J1939 Router provides auto extraction and scaling of SPNs (Suspect Parameter Number) for standard SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) defined PGNs (Parameter Group Number). These SPNs can then be mapped to Logix UDTs Tags. This allows the user to create a J1939 Router project with all the required PGNs and then export a Logix L5X file with the required Tags and UDTs for that specific J1939 Router project. This L5X file can be imported into Logix.

    The DeviceNet Router provides a powerful and easy to configure solution to exchange data between DeviceNet™ devices and a Logix controller or PanelView via EtherNet/IP™. The module is able to asynchronously exchange data between a DeviceNet polling master (scanner) and an Ethernet PCCC device. Produced and consumed data sizes are independently configurable from 0 to 128 bytes each.

    The consumed (DeviceNet) data can then be mapped to a PLC5 type address file, e.g. N33, and then read by an Ethernet device e.g. a PanelView. Similarly, the produced data (DeviceNet) can also be mapped to a PLC5 type address file, to which an Ethernet device could write. The Router supports transferring parameters from a DeviceNet device directly to Logix tags. The scaling of the parameter values will either be extracted from the EDS file imported or can be manually updated by the user. The module also provides a range of statistics and an on-board DeviceNet traffic analyzer to assist with fault finding. A built-in webserver provides detailed diagnostics of system configuration and operation, including the display of DeviceNet operation and communication statistics, without the need for any additional software.

    The ControlNet Router provides an efficient method of bridging between ControlNet and Ethernet networks. The module exchanges data with a Logix controller via a ControlNet bridge (eg. 1756-CNB) using Scheduled Class 1 communication or Unscheduled Class 3 / UCMM messaging. The size of the produced and consumed data is user-configurable up to 400 bytes.

    The IO data can be accessed via Ethernet using either the PCCC or EtherNet/IP™ protocols. The former allows the module to emulate user-defined PLC5-type data files simplifying the data exchange with PanelViews. The module also provides a range of statistics on Ethernet and ControlNet to assist with fault finding.

    The CANopen® Router provides intelligent data routing between either EtherNet/IP™ or Modbus TCP/IP® and the CANopen bus network. This allows the user to integrate CANopen devices into a Rockwell® Logix platform (e.g. ControlLogix® or CompactLogix™) or any Modbus Master device with minimal effort.

    The module can be configured to be either a Master or Slave allowing the user to not only integrate CANopen devices into a Logix or Modbus system, but to also allow the user to use Logix or Modbus devices in an existing CANopen network (by using the CANopen Router in Slave mode). In a Logix system the module uses Direct-To-Tag technology allowing CANopen devices to exchange data with a Logix controller without the need to write any ladder or application code in Studio 5000.

    The EtherNet/IP to Texas Instruments Remote I/O Master gateway allows an Allen-Bradley Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) to control TI 505 Remote I/O. This gateway allows a phased migration approach to be used when upgrading or replacing TI Remote Base Controllers. The gateway provides automatic creation of the TI Remote I/O scan-list and generates the associated RSLogix 5000 tags reducing engineering effort. Once the new PAC is commissioned the legacy I/O can be upgraded one module or one rack at a time as scheduled downtime is available. This gateway minimizes the risk of excessive downtime when upgrading legacy control systems.
