The module is ideal in control configurations where there is a need for the CompactLogix processor to exchange data with other non-Rockwell Automation control devices in low-speed applications.

Features and Benefits
The 3964R protocol was designed by Siemens for bidirectional data communication through a point-to-point connection. It is a peer-to-peer protocol with read and write access. A BCC checksum ensures the integrity of the transfer.

- The module is recognized as an Input/Output module and has access to processor memory for data transfer between processor and module
- Ladder Logic is used for data transfer between module and processor. Sample ladder file included.

- Supports all CompactLogix processors: L20/L23/L30/L31/L32/L35, L43 and L45 (L43 and L45 supported with RSLogix 5000 v16.03 or later)
